The museum showcases stories of human creativity from the beginning of recorded history. Collections span art and artifacts from ancient civilizations and empires, the great age of the Silk Road, first globalization, Eastern empires and more. Art lovers will love the Great Masters on display, works on loan from French museums, temporary exhibitions and a whole lot more. 

How long does it take to visit Louvre Abu Dhabi? 

You will need at least an hour to two hours to see just the highlights of the museum. Louvre Abu Dhabi offers 45-minute Express Tours that cover the main artefacts and must-sees. Ideally, you will need longer, four hours or so, to really focus on the different collections.

Louvre Abu Dhabi opened on November 8th, 2017 in Saadiyat Island. 

How much is a ticket to the Louvre Abu Dhabi?

General admission tickets are AED 63, however children under 18 and residents and UAE nationals aged above 60 can enter for free. Do check the museum website for the latest ticket prices.

Who designed Louvre Abu Dhabi?

Louvre Abu Dhabi was designed by the award winning French architect Jean Nouvel who took inspiration from the Middle East’s architectural heritage. Straddling water and land, the design uses reflections to create a wonderful play of light. 

How do we get to Louvre Abu Dhabi?

Louvre Abu Dhabi is on Saadiyat Island. Check for more information on how to get to Saadiyat Island from Abu Dhabi and Dubai by public transportation or private car. If you’re travelling from Dubai, you can also hop on our complimentary Cultural Express Shuttle Service that sets off at 9 am everyday from Sheraton, Mall of the Emirates and sets off for Dubai at 6 am.

As a Mindful Museum, Louvre Abu Dhabi has taken all precautionary measures so you can enjoy your stay and be as safe and comfortable as possible. Entrance is by timed ticket, so tickets must be pre-booked as well as the Arrival Time Slot in advance of your arrival. Admission gives you access to the Museum Galleries, exhibitions, outdoor plazas underneath the dome, museum café, Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi and boutique.
